ROOTED IN MOVEMENT.
GROWING COLLECTIVE POWER.
As CHEVS moves into the next phase of our journey, we took time to reflect on where we have been, what we have learned, and what this political moment demands of us. Across conversations with young LGBTQI+ activists, feminist organisers, movement partners, regional allies, and funders, we listened closely to the shifting terrain — rising anti-rights coordination, digital repression, economic precarity, and the urgent need for deeper solidarity.
This strategic plan is the result of that reflection and collective dialogue. It emerges from lived realities, frontline organising, and shared analysis across our ecosystem. We are indebted to the activists, partners, and community members who contributed their insight, critique, and imagination to this process. Their voices sharpened our clarity and strengthened our resolve.
Over the coming years, this strategy will guide how we build collective power, defend civic space, advance gender and tech justice, and sustain the leadership of young queer and feminist organisers across Africa. It is both a roadmap and a commitment to move deliberately, to act collaboratively, and to remain accountable to the movements we accompany.
